Pale pomaderris

Pomaderris pallida
Vulnerable: Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016, Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999


Pale Pomaderris is a small rounded shrub. Its leaves are covered in dense, soft, star-shaped hairs.

This native plant lives in the Byadbo area in Kosciuszko National Park (among other places outside of the park). It usually grows in shrub communities surrounded by brittle gum.

 

Threats

  • Grazing and trampling from feral animals including horses, deer and goats.
  • Sediment runoff as a result of degraded vegetation cover.
  • Flood damage.
  • Fire.
