Pale golden moths orchid

Vulnerable: Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999


The pale golden moths orchid is yellow with faint purple and red stripes, and flowers from November to December.

It can be found on the sub-alpine plains of Kosciuszko National Park and the Kybean area, and has also been recorded in eastern Victoria.

 

Threats

  • Grazing and trampling by feral horses and pigs.
  • Overgrazing by stock.
  • Invasion of natural environment by feral plant species.
  • Degradation and loss of habitat caused by development and agriculture.
